We love winter, as winter in Saskatchewan is exactly the way it’s meant to be! Frosty temperatures and endless snow transform this region into a legendary winter wonderland year after year. A perfect backdrop to get into the Christmas spirit!

Exciting New Additions from Canadvac

The receptive tour operator CANADVAC Travel Services, based in Nova Scotia, makes more product available in Saskatchewan:

Waters Edge Eco Lodge

On the edge of Greig Lake, amidst the natural oasis of Meadow Lake Provincial Park, lies the cozy Waters Edge Eco Lodge. This Indigenous accommodation with a special focus on sustainability is owned by the local Waterhen Lake First Nation. The lodge offers nine guestrooms in the main lodge and three cabins. A tipi village with glamping accommodation will open in 2025. The lodge owners are continuously developing new immersive cultural experiences, including Indigenous culinary and other culturally significant experiences, to introduce their guests to the culture of the Waterhen First Nation.




Sky Story Bed & Breakfast

Sky Story Bed & Breakfast is a cozy accommodation near Grasslands National Park in the village of Val Marie. The owners, Joseph Naytowhow and Diana Chabros, are both artists and deeply inspired by the area’s land and sky. They offer 3 charming rooms, a hearty homemade breakfast, and good conversation. Sky Story Bed & Breakfast is equipped with laundry facilities, air conditioning, a Yoga studio with mats/cushions, and a semi-private sitting area outdoors. Various tours are available upon request, as a visit of the artist studios, a heritage elevator tour, Yoga and/or Art retreats, tours by horseback, or an Indigenous Cultural Walk in Grasslands National Park.

All Blackstrap glamping domes sleep 4 guests. Each of them comes fully equipped ​with all the comforts of home, right down to a bathrobe and slippers, and features

  • a fully stocked kitchen incl. microwave, hot plate with two burners, fridge and Keurig coffee machine
  • 2 sleeping areas (one in the loft) with pillows, blankets and bedding being provided
  • cozy living room area
  • private bathroom with shower and toiletries
  • heating
  • free WIFI
  • outdoor amenities with propane BBQ and propane firepit
