ALONG THE INUVIK-TUKTOYAKTUK HIGHWAY:
A ROAD THAT HOLDS THE NORTH’S STORIES
Some routes simply connect one destination to the next – others reveal the character of an entire region. The Inuvik–Tuktoyaktuk Highway is unmistakably part of the latter. Crossing the remote expanse of the Northwest Territories, it links two distinct worlds: lively Inuvik, set within the winding channels of the Mackenzie Delta, and Tuktoyaktuk, a remarkable Arctic Ocean community shaped by tradition, landscape and sea.
Between them unfolds a scenery defined by open tundra, vast horizons and a quietness so profound that it feels as if it carries the stories of the North within it.
