YELLOWKNIFE'S FAMOUS WINTER FESTIVAL
TURNS 30: LONG LIVE THE SNOWKING!
This March, Yellowknife's Snowking Winter Festival celebrates its 30th anniversary. The month-long event features a stunning snow and ice castle on the frozen Yellowknife Bay, celebrating community spirit with entertainment for young and old, as art exhibits, live music, child performances, and more – all in a magical winter setting. Every year, the Snowking himself, Anthony Foliot, founder and creative mastermind behind the Snowking Winter Festival, leads a dedicated team to build this ever-evolving castle with sculptures, slides, and unique features, showcasing the region's local culture and the beauty of winter.
